My laptop died right before a big writing group meeting at the library

I was at the downtown branch, about to read a new chapter, when the screen just went black and wouldn't turn back on. I ended up reading the whole thing from my phone's tiny screen, which was a pain but the group actually liked the story. What's your best backup plan for when tech fails you during a creative session?

Honestly my backup plan is just to panic dramatically until someone takes pity on me.

Always print a hard copy before you leave the house.

Oh man, that's the worst. I read an article once that said to always have your main file saved in two places, like your laptop and a cloud drive. That way you can pull it up on any device, which is smarter than just a printout like @barbara399 said. It saved me when my tablet died at a coffee shop last month.
