My last vacation just gave me great material for a character having a complete meltdown in an airport, so that's something.

My trip to Rome gave me the exact smell of ancient stone and espresso I needed for a chapter. I just sat on my couch and wrote down every small thing I remembered feeling there. It really does unlock a scene when you pull from a real place like that.
