Found out the first mobile crane was built in 1913 while reading a history book at a truck stop

I mean, I always figured they were a post-war thing, so learning they were rolling around that early from a dusty book in Boise kind of blew my mind, has anyone else come across old crane facts that surprised them?

Oh man, I had to look up a wiring diagram in a parking lot once. Phone signal was so bad I just gave up and asked the guy at the counter. He had an actual paper manual, saved my whole day.
