Tried that peel-off base coat everyone was raving about, total mess

I finally gave in and bought that peel-off base coat after seeing it all over my feed, thought it would save me time on my own nails between clients. Put it on Friday night and by Saturday morning it was lifting and snagging on my sweater, and my polish peeled off in one ugly strip while I was grabbing a towel. Has anyone else had this fail on them, or is there some trick to making it actually last more than 12 hours?

Gotta admit I was all in on the hype too, but this stuff is garbage for real wear.
