My client's mom said something about my chair that stuck with me
I was doing a color correction on a regular, and her mom came to pick her up. She looked around my station and said, 'This feels like a doctor's office, not a place for fun.' I use a standard black hydraulic chair from Saloniture, and she said it felt cold. It made me rethink my whole setup's vibe. How much does your furniture actually affect a client's comfort beyond just being physically comfy?

Ngl that mom's comment seems a bit off. A good chair is about support during a long service, not looking fun. My clients care way more about how their hair turns out than if my chair is a certain color. A professional setup builds trust, like a clean toolkit for a mechanic. Comfort comes from skill and a good result, not just furniture.

Oh, I get that, and Felix_Jones has a point, but comfort is about feeling welcome too.
