I was against spending $200 on a hot towel cabinet until I bought one used

Well I always thought hot towel cabinets were just a fancy expense, not really necessary for my small booth. Then I picked up a used one on Facebook Marketplace for $150 from a salon in Austin that was closing down. First week using it, three clients mentioned how much they loved the warm towels during facials and two booked return appointments just for that. Has anyone else found a used piece of equipment that ended up paying for itself fast?

Honestly I gotta push back on this one. Bought a used towel warmer a couple years ago and it broke down after three months. Spent more time fixing it than actually using it for clients. Most people don't realize those older models use way more electricity too, so your savings on the machine get eaten up by your power bill. I'd rather just heat towels in a regular steamer or use a little crockpot setup for way less money. Newer ones are built way better and come with a warranty which matters when you rely on it daily. Not saying yours won't work out but for me it was a hard learned lesson.
