Did my 500th balayage last month and the number hit me harder than I expected
I was logging my client notes on a Tuesday night and realized the appointment I just finished was number 500 for balayage since I started tracking them in 2019. I know that probably sounds like a made up brag but it genuinely snuck up on me. When I started at the salon over on Maple Street I was doing maybe two a week and praying they didn't come out orange. Now I can section and weave without thinking about it, which is wild since I used to watch four YouTube videos before every single one. The thing that got me though was looking back at my first 50 or so notes, I was mixing way too light and my foils were huge, like almost an inch wide. My mentor Renee would've laughed at those. I ended up pulling out my old phone and scrolling through before and afters from 2020 and some of them are honestly rough. Curious if anyone else keeps count of a certain service or if I'm just weird about tracking stuff like this.
