Field crew in Omaha showed me a faster way to log daily reports

Stopped at a job site outside Omaha last Tuesday to drop off equipment and noticed the foreman using a tablet with voice-to-text for his daily logs. He said it cut his paperwork from 45 minutes a night to about 10, and the photos auto-tag to each entry. I've been typing everything on my phone for years, never thought to try speech input. Anyone else using voice capture on their reporting apps, or is it just a gimmick on the smaller crews?

Those voice logs sound good until you try to find something in them later, search only works if people actually talk in complete sentences. I’d rather type it out and know it’s readable than save 30 minutes and lose track of what happened.
