The 6pm curfew on my block is nonsense, I ignore it and my cars still fine
My street in Austin put up this curfew for 'theft prevention' but it's really just for show. I park my runner outside every night past 9pm and have for 14 months now, not one crack in the window. Meanwhile my neighbor followed the rule and still got his converter swiped at 5pm in broad daylight off Congress Ave. I think these neighborhood associations push fear instead of real solutions like better lights or cameras. So I pick breaking the curfew over hiding, and honestly it's worked better for my peace of mind. Anyone else skip these silly rules in their hood and see no downside?

Got any proof those so-called security improvements they keep pushing actually do anything, or is it all just talk to make folks feel better?
