Serious question, remember when family dinners involved debating moon landing hoaxes?

Back in the day, my dad and uncle would argue for hours about if the moon landing was fake. Now, everyone just looks at their phones during meals. I miss those loud, messy talks that felt real. It got you thinking, even if you disagreed. Things are just quieter now, and not in a good way.

Those loud messy talks could be pretty awful if you were the kid stuck listening. Honestly, I find the quieter meals way more peaceful, as long as the phones are put away.

Man, I used to be all about the silent dinners too. But then I remembered my own family meals where no one talked, just corrected each other's manners. Realized those loud talks meant people were actually engaged, even if it was messy.

Loud messy talks really were a mixed bag like charlesj46 said. My grandpa would go on about water fluoridation being a plot instead of the moon landing. It was kind of exhausting but weirdly fun trying to poke holes in his logic. Those talks felt more alive than just sitting there, even if the ideas were out there. What was the weirdest conspiracy your family believed?
