Last Tuesday was my worst gaming night in years

I spent 4 hours trying to beat a single boss in Elden Ring on my PS5, only to realize my controller batteries were dying and making my inputs lag the whole time.

My first tip is get a charging dock that you just drop the controller into after every session. I have the one from PowerA and it costs like 20 bucks. Second thing is your PS5 settings actually let you turn off the controller vibration and lower the light bar brightness, both of which kill your battery way faster than you think. Third, if you ever feel input lag again, pause the game and test your controller on the system menu first before you waste an hour blaming the boss.
