Had a rough moment at my buddy's house last night that made me rethink how I play multiplayer shooters
I always thought I was doing great dropping 30 kills in Call of Duty but losing matches by a big margin. Last night my friend Matt (you know, the super chill one) pointed out that I kept chasing the enemy team's best player instead of helping capture the hardpoint. He showed me his replay and I saw myself running past two teammates fighting for B point just to get a revenge kill on some guy across the map. That moment hit me hard - I've been treating team modes like free-for-all for like 3 years. Now I'm trying to actually stay near the objective and ping enemies for my squad. Has anyone else had a similar wakeup call where you realized you were playing the wrong way in a team game?

Wait, you mean you actually watched a replay of yourself playing? That's wild. I tried that once and couldn't make it past the first 30 seconds without feeling like I was watching a different person play my account. Its like looking at your own text messages after three years.

Yeah I used to think the same way honestly. I figured why would I want to sit through my own mistakes again. But then I started doing it for a game I was trying to get better at and it changed my mind. I noticed I was ignoring obvious stuff like not checking corners or wasting my ult at the wrong time. It was kind of embarrassing but it helped me fix those bad habits.
