Weather apps are becoming a headache for pour planning
I've been finishing concrete for a long time, and now I see a big problem with weather apps. We use them to decide when to pour, but they keep giving bad info. A few days back, we had a driveway pour set up. All the apps said it would be dry all afternoon. We got the mix going, and then rain started falling hard. The top layer got washed out, and we had to stop everything. This put us behind and wasted a lot of material. It feels like these apps are made for casual use, not for our tight schedules. I'm starting to doubt if we should trust them at all.

Watch the sky yourself for last-minute changes.

Totally learned that the hard way last summer. Got soaked because I trusted the forecast over my own eyes. Now I always check the clouds before heading out.

Trusting your eyes is how you get caught in a downpour.
