Shoutout to the crew that showed me a new way to handle a wet patch
Six months ago I'd have panicked and overworked a wet spot, but after watching them just shield it with a board for twenty minutes and come back to a perfect finish, my approach is completely different now, so what's your go-to trick for a tricky section that's setting up faster than the rest?

Ever try a mist coat? Like, super thin. Just water it down a ton. I keep a spray bottle handy for edges that flash on me. Hit it with a fine mist, buys you a few seconds to lay it off smooth. Works on trim too when it's hot and dry. Total game changer for cutting in.

Feels like overthinking paint to me. Just paint it.

Honestly, that sounds like a lot of extra work. I just keep a wet rag and work fast. Is a flashing edge really that big of a deal? It usually dries fine for me.
