Showerthought: I used to think a full reinstall was always the answer for a slow PC.

I was fixing a friend's laptop last week and he mentioned his kid said 'it's like it's thinking through mud.' I was about to grab a USB drive, but I ran a quick check on the drive health first. CrystalDiskInfo showed the SSD was at 98% health, so I just cleared out a ton of startup programs and temp files instead. It's back to normal now. How often do you guys actually find a failing drive versus just a clogged system?

My buddy had a similar thing, his old laptop was crawling. A clean install of Windows made it feel brand new again.

Honestly, failing drives are pretty rare now (most slowdowns are just software bloat).
