How my cable management project ended with the modem in the freezer
Last weekend, I decided to clean up my home office and hide all the wires. I got some cable sleeves and started routing everything behind the desk. I pulled too hard on the Ethernet cable, and it yanked the modem off the shelf. The modem fell into a bucket of water I had for cleaning. I panicked and put it in the freezer to dry out. Now it's sitting next to the ice cream, and I'm using mobile data until it thaws. At least my desk looks tidy now, even if I can't go online.

Why'd you think putting electronics in a freezer was the move?

Had a buddy do that with a water-logged phone years ago... left it in a bag of rice in the freezer overnight. Totally froze the screen and killed it for good. Desperate times make for some bad ideas sometimes.
