TIL the hard way that switch stacking isn't always the answer

I was at a hospital in Austin last month, 14 switches stacked and one firmware bug took down the whole wing, so I started splitting them into pairs and honestly the network felt more solid after 2 days of downtime.

Quit stacking anything past 8 if you can help it, that's been my rule since a similar mess at a clinic. Splitting into pairs is smarter anyway, keeps the blast radius small and makes firmware updates way less scary.
