Took my nephew to his first comic con and it backfired
I figured a local con in Springfield would be a chill intro, but the sheer amount of people and noise totally overwhelmed him. He spent most of the time hiding behind my legs, and we left after about an hour. I learned that throwing a kid into the deep end of fandom isn't the best plan. What's a better way to get a little kid into comics without the convention chaos?

Oof, been there. My attempt at a "fun aunt" day ended with a meltdown in the toy aisle. Maybe start with just reading some comics together at home? Way less pressure.

That toy aisle meltdown sounds rough. What comic did you end up reading at home to calm things down? I'm always looking for good ones to try.
