This guy at the local con in Phoenix totally killed my vibe for collecting variant covers

I was waiting in line for a special #1 variant, feeling pretty good, when the guy in front of me bought all five copies the store had just to flip them online. The whole point of the con for me is finding cool stuff, not watching it get scalped before my eyes. How do you even deal with that kind of thing without getting super bitter?

That's just how collectibles work sometimes. People are always going to try to make a quick buck. Maybe try getting there earlier next time or find a shop with purchase limits.
