My local shop had a huge sale and it turned into a total mess

The Comic Cave in Springfield had a 50% off back issue sale last Saturday, and the line was around the block by 9 AM. I got there early but still ended up waiting an hour, and two guys nearly got into a fight over a copy of Amazing Spider-Man #300. Has anyone else's favorite shop ever had a sale that got way too crazy?

That "last bottle of water" feeling is everywhere now, from concert tickets to grocery store coupons. Scarcity just makes people lose their minds.

People get way too worked up over old paper. It's a comic book, not the last bottle of water after the apocalypse. Almost coming to blows over something you can read online for free seems crazy. The whole point of a hobby is to have fun, not stress in a line for hours.

I get what you're saying about the scarcity thing, but for some people the whole point is the physical piece. Like, reading it online isn't the same as owning that specific issue with the cover art and the smell of old paper. I mean, we all have our thing, right?
