I spent 12 years bagging my comics upside down and never noticed
Last month I was reorganizing my long boxes and a buddy pointed out that all my Silver Age books had the bag flaps facing out. I always thought the flap went on top for easy access, but apparently it goes on the back so dust doesnt settle on the opening. Now I gotta re-bag about 300 issues, which is gonna take forever. Has anyone else done something like this and only caught it way later?

Honestly, how did you not notice the bags were facing the wrong way for 12 years? I mean, I flipped my entire collection around after I realized the flap trap was real, and now I keep a sharpie line on the front of every bag so I never mix it up again. Tbh, you might as well just rebag the key issues first and leave the filler books for a rainy day, that's what I did with my 90s junk. Ngl, the dust thing is no joke though, I found some gritty buildup on a few of my older books after making the switch.

The "flap trap" is REAL and I still can't believe Felix went 12 years like that. I did the same thing with my whole collection a few years back and it felt SO good once I fixed it. The sharpie line idea is actually genius though, I might steal that for my new bags. And yeah, I agree about the dust thing. Some of my older books had this weird gritty film on the top edge that freaked me out.
