Went from a 2.1 GPA to a 3.4 in one semester and I still can't believe what actually fixed it
I almost lost my scholarship last spring. I was pulling a 2.1 and my advisor sat me down and basically said get it together or start packing. The thing is I was studying, like 4 hours a night in the library, and nothing was sticking. Then my roommate (who is a bio major and never seems stressed) asked if I wanted to tag along to his study group. I said sure whatever. That one session changed everything for me. It turns out I was reading and re-reading my notes like 5 times, which felt productive but did nothing. These guys would close their books and quiz each other out loud, then teach the hard stuff to whoever was lost. I started doing that with my econ and stats classes, teaching the chapter to my roommate's dog, no joke. My grades went from C's and D's to mostly A's and B's by December. Has anyone else had a study method that felt right but was secretly wasting your time?
