Tried typing my notes in class instead of writing them by hand and my grades actually dropped
Last spring I had this idea that typing notes on my laptop would be faster, so I did it for two of my classes. Turns out I was just transcribing everything word for word without actually thinking about any of it. Went back to a paper notebook for fall semester, and on my first psych exam I pulled a 91 versus the 78 I got in the spring. Something about writing slower forces me to pick out what actually matters. Anyone else notice their notes get worse when they switch to a laptop?
