Stuck on a group project where one person did nothing for 3 weeks - should we just kick them out or finish it ourselves?
My group project for history of design ended up with a guy who literally didn't respond to any messages for 21 days straight, and now we have 4 days left to turn in our whole section. Do we report them to the prof and lose a teammate, or just split their work four ways and hope for the best? Has anyone else dealt with a ghost like this?

The "21 days straight" part is wild, that's not just ghosting it's basically a whole new level of disrespect. Honestly I feel like people pull this stuff more and more now because they think showing up late is the same as doing the work, which is just not how group projects work in the real world. I'd report them and split the work, because carrying a deadweight just teaches them they can get away with it.
