Financial aid office sent me in circles for 6 weeks over a missing form

I filed my FAFSA back in January and thought everything was set, but in March I got a random email saying my verification was incomplete. Called the office in Ames, they told me to upload a tax transcript I already sent twice. Then last week they flagged my mom's signature as invalid, even though she signed it right in front of me on the PDF. It took 6 weeks and 4 phone calls, plus a 45 minute wait, before someone finally admitted they had the wrong student ID on file. If you're a freshman and get any notice from financial aid, don't assume it's your fault, double check they actually pulled up your account. Has anyone else here dealt with a similar runaround from their school's aid office?

Man I had the same thing happen at my school, just keep every receipt and make them give you a ticket number each call.
