Warning: my $400 grinder sits in a closet while I use a $25 hand mill every morning
Two years ago I bought a Baratza Encore and swore I would never go back to grinding by hand, but now I wake up at 5:45 and crank my little Hario Skerton for about 90 seconds while the kettle heats. The weird part is I actually look forward to it, since it gives me something to do besides stare at my phone, and the cup tastes the same to me anyway. Did anyone else ditch their electric setup once the novelty wore off, or am I just fooling myself?

A $400 grinder in the closet still does the same job as the Hario, so I'd say you're just fooling yourself on the cost part.
