PSA: I switched from coolant mist to a spray bottle with 50/50 mix...
For years I ran my Haas with the standard mist system for aluminum, thinking it was fine. Then a guy from the shop next door showed me his simple spray bottle setup for finishing passes, and the surface finish is way better with way less mess. Has anyone else tried ditching their factory coolant for a squirt bottle on certain jobs?

Oh man, totally! I've been doing the squirt bottle thing for years on finishing passes and it's a game changer. Less mess, better finish, and you can really control where the coolant goes without that fog everywhere.

Squirt bottle for coolant is fine and all, but people act like it's some kind of secret life hack. It's just a bottle with a nozzle, right?
