The recycling bin at my kid's school got me caught red handed

I volunteered to help with the lunch recycling at Lincoln Elementary in Des Moines and got totally schooled by a 9 year old. I tossed a greasy pizza box in the paper bin and this kid named Marcus looked at me like I had three heads and said the grease ruins the whole batch. Now I keep a little cheat sheet on my fridge and check it 2 or 3 times a week before I toss anything. Does anyone know if the foil lined chip bags go in regular recycling or is that trash?
