My neighbor in Portland told me to plant clover instead of grass lawn and she was totally right
Last spring I was getting ready to reseed my patchy lawn and my neighbor Karen stopped me. She said stop wasting money on Kentucky bluegrass and just throw down some white clover. I thought she was nuts. But I tried a $12 bag from the local nursery on half the yard. Six months later the clover side is still green without watering, the bees love it, and I haven't touched the mower in weeks. The grass side looks awful. Has anyone else made the switch and seen a difference in their water bill?

Did you know clover actually needs more water than grass to stay green?
