My mesh reusable bags fell apart at the farmers market after 8 trips

I bought a set of 5 mesh produce bags back in March thinking I was doing my part to cut down on plastic. Last Saturday at the Portland farmers market, two of them ripped right down the seam while I was loading up on kale and onions. I had to walk over to a vendor and ask for a cardboard box just to get everything home. Has anyone found mesh bags that actually hold up past a season, or is this just the tradeoff we accept for skipping plastic?
