Found a live raccoon family in a chimney in Boise last month.

I was doing a routine clean on a brick chimney in a quiet neighborhood and my camera showed four sets of eyes staring back at me, so I had to call animal control and reschedule the whole job for a week later, which the homeowner wasn't thrilled about. Has anyone else had to deal with wildlife this season?

Yeah, the homeowner not being thrilled is the worst part. I had a squirrel nest in a vent pipe last spring. What worked for me was showing them the video from my scope, then giving them the direct number for the wildlife guy I use. It makes it feel less like my delay and more like a shared problem we can fix.

Man, I get what you're saying but I see it a little different. Handing off to the wildlife guy might solve your immediate headache, but it kinda teaches the homeowner that you're not the one who handles problems start to finish. I've found that if I take the time to explain the timeline and why I need to come back myself, most people respect the honesty more than a quick referral. Plus, you lose control of the job once someone else steps in, and that can come back to bite you later when they blame you for the whole mess.
