That $50 fish spatula from Sur La Table is way overhyped compared to a $15 Dexter

Everyone raves about that fish spatula, but after two years in a busy Omaha kitchen, the handle cracked on me mid-shift. Meanwhile my old Dexter offset has been going strong for 6 years with the same blade. Am I the only one who thinks expensive gear doesn't always mean better?

Did you ever look at the handle screws on those? I had the same thing happen with a pricier spatula and realized a tiny drop of threadlocker would've saved me that headache. My $12 Dexter has been through three moves and still looks like it'll outlast me.

Did you used to think threadlocker was overkill too? I just changed my mind after reading this.
