I bought a $200 'smart' digital scale and it was a total waste
Everyone was raving about these Bluetooth scales that sync to your phone for perfect measurements. I got one for my pastry station about six months ago. It constantly lost connection, needed charging every other day, and the app was full of ads for meal kits. I went back to my old $30 mechanical scale after a month of frustration. The time I wasted fiddling with tech could have been spent on actual baking. Has anyone else found that simple tools are just better in a busy kitchen?

Wait, it needed charging every other day and hall.ruby is right about this happening to everything now.

Seriously, was a fancy scale ever going to make your pastries taste better? It sounds like you just needed something to weigh flour, not a gadget that demands constant attention. Maybe we overcomplicate the simple stuff sometimes.
