Had a seam roller handle snap clean off in my hand yesterday

Right in the middle of a big glue-down job in a sunroom, putting some good pressure on a seam. The metal shaft just gave way with a loud pop, and the roller part went flying across the room. It landed right in the homeowner's dog water bowl. The dog looked at me like I'd thrown a toy for him. I had to fish it out, dry it off with a shop towel, and finish the seam by pressing down with the edge of my knee kicker, which felt pretty dumb. The job got done, but I was there an extra hour making sure that seam was flat. Anyone have a heavy-duty seam roller they swear by that won't turn into a projectile?

Had that happen with a cheap roller from a big box store. The whole handle snapped and the roller shot across the room like a rocket. I felt like a total clown chasing it down. Ended up using a paint roller handle for the rest of the day, which was a joke. I bought a Roberts heavy duty one after that and it feels like a tank. No more flying parts, just a solid chunk of metal.

Didn't a DIY blog say that's why @reese177, cheap rollers always fail?
