Didn't think I'd ever install 100 yards of carpet in a single house...
Just finished a big job in a new build over in Springfield, and the total came out to exactly 100 yards. It was this massive open-concept area with a sunken living room... never had a single-family home need that much before. How do you guys handle estimating for spaces that large without coming up short?

Wow, that's a tiny house by my standards.

Just picture Noah rolling up to a studio apartment and asking where the rest of the castle is. Must be nice to live in a place where you need a map and a packed lunch to get from the bedroom to the fridge. My entire living space could probably fit in his walk-in closet. I guess we all have different ideas of what "cozy" means.

Measured the whole space on the grid paper first, then added a full extra yard per large section for seams and pattern matching. For that much square footage, even a small measuring mistake gets expensive fast. Do you sketch it out room by room or just work off the total square footage?
