Cutting crown molding for years with the saw flat on the table...
I was helping my buddy in his Denver shop and he just said, 'Why don't you tilt the saw to the spring angle?' Felt like an idiot for a solid minute. How many of you learned that trick way later than you should have?

Wait, you mean you were cutting it with the saw flat all that time? I must have done a hundred linear feet in my old house before a guy at the lumber yard asked me what my saw angle was set to. I just stared at him. All those wasted scraps and bad joints suddenly made sense.
