Got laid off from my marketing job in Austin last Tuesday and the free career counselor told me my resume reads like a job description
She said to swap every 'responsible for' line into a number that shows what changed, so now I'm rewriting 8 years of work into actual results instead of duties, has anyone else had a counselor rip their resume apart like that?

My buddy in Dallas got the same speech from a recruiter last month, said his whole resume was just "managed this, handled that" with zero proof anything got better. It's kinda funny how we all learn to write resumes like robots and then act shocked when a robot rejects them.
