My tent collapsed in a Yellowstone storm and I'm done with ultralight poles

Everyone says to cut weight, but my trekking pole tent folded in half during a sudden hailstorm near Old Faithful. I spent the night in a pit toilet building. What's a good two-person tent with real poles that can handle wind?

Spent a night in a pit toilet, that's a new kind of low for backcountry camping. My old REI Half Dome 2 has actual poles that have survived some nasty Wyoming wind. It's not the lightest thing out there, but it won't fold up and send you to the bathroom for shelter. Sometimes a few extra ounces is just the price of not sleeping next to a porcelain throne.

Remember the year everyone lost their minds over those tiny trekking pole tents? Yeah, I bought one. Spent a whole trip basically sleeping in a fancy trash bag that flapped like a sail. My old heavy tent felt like a palace when I got home. Guess I paid the weight penalty in pride that time.
