Thought I could clean a shutter curtain with just compressed air... big mistake

Maybe it's not as bad as you think? I've seen people accidentally smudge their shutter curtains with way worse stuff and the camera kept working fine. Unless you were blasting it from like two inches away or using one of those crazy high pressure cans, it probably just kicked up some dust that settled back down. Give it a test shot before you panic and start taking things apart. I mean, worst case scenario you need a sensor clean, not a whole new camera.

See this all the time with people and their stuff honestly. Everyone jumps straight to the worst case scenario in their head before they even take 30 seconds to actually check if something broke. Its like your brain just skips right past "maybe its nothing" and lands on "well guess Im buying a new one.
