Remembering a job in Portland where a shutter spring went flying
It hit the ceiling and landed in a coffee cup, so I had to fish it out with a magnet on a string. Anyone else have a weird place a part has ended up?

Honestly that just sounds like a normal Tuesday. Parts go flying, you find them. Fishing it out of a coffee cup is just basic problem solving, not some epic tale.

Used to think that way too until I lost a tiny spring for three days. Found it in my boot after I'd already ordered a new one.

Right though, leo_campbell? It's just part of the process. I mean, last week a tiny screw bounced right into my open bag of chips. Just fished it out, wiped it off, and kept going. Idk, maybe it's just me but that's not a story, that's just how fixing things goes. You're not a hero for finding the part, you're just not done yet.
