Warning: That cheap coax stripper cost me a full day's pay
I grabbed a $15 stripper from a truck stop instead of my usual Klein tool, and it mangled the shielding on three drops before I figured it out. Had to re-run them all, which ate up four hours of billable time. Anyone have a stripper they swear by that won't break the bank?

Four hours is a brutal lesson. Was it just the blade alignment that was off, or did the whole tool feel loose and cheap in your hand? I've had ones where the adjustment screw wouldn't even stay put. Knowing exactly HOW it failed might help narrow down what to avoid next time.

The whole thing felt like a toy, honestly... the blade wobbled, but the handle flex was the real shock. It's like they used plastic that was way too thin under the rubber grip. You need a solid core just to hold the setting, forget about actual cutting force.
