Spent $40 on a Klein coax stripper and it trashed 3 connectors before I figured out the tension screw was loose

Picked up a Klein coax stripper at the supply house last week for around $40 because my old no-name one was slipping. First three connectors I crimped had exposed braid because the blade depth was all the way off from the factory. Anyone else have to tweak these things right out of the box or did I just get a lemon?

Yeah, I'm not buying that this is some huge issue. A tension screw being loose from the factory is annoying, sure, but it's also a five second fix with a screwdriver. I've seen way worse from Klein over the years, like a pair of wire strippers that were ground down unevenly. This is small potatoes. @quinn_nguyen has a point - it's a $40 tool, not a precision instrument. You tighten it up and move on. If you're spending more time posting about it than fixing it, that's on you.

$40 for a stripper that needs adjusting out of the box sounds about right for Klein these days, honestly. You can tighten a screw in 30 seconds and be done with it, but most people would rather post about it online than do that. Seems like a pretty minor thing to get worked up over.
