Had a brand new compression fitting blow out on a second floor install yesterday. Just sprayed water everywhere for a solid minute before I could get to the main shutoff.

Ugh, that's the worst. Brand new doesn't mean a thing anymore. I had a brand new angle stop shear right off at the threads last week. Just cheap metal. Makes you check everything twice now. That minute of water feels like an hour.

My buddy had a brand new pressure washer hose burst right out of the box last month. It sounded like a gunshot and soaked his entire driveway. The rubber just split clean open, no kinks or anything. Total junk materials.

Yeah, it's like they're making stuff to fail right after the warranty ends... planned obsolescence is getting way too obvious these days.
