Followed a forum tip about TDR settings, cost me a whole afternoon
Some guy on here swore to set the velocity of propagation manually on my Fluke TDR instead of using the auto cable table. I tried it on a 300 ft run in a condo complex outside Austin, and the distance came back all over the place. Turns out the cable was actually RG-6 but the jacket said something else, so my guess made everything worse. Has anyone else gotten burned by trusting a specific tester settings tip without double checking the cable type first?
