Why I now prefer pocket holes for cabinet boxes

They save time without sacrificing strength in most cases.

My last set of drawers had that same wobble from the bit creeping. I started checking the collar every few holes now.

Totally agree for shop-built boxes... just make sure your jig is set dead-on for consistent depth. Had a batch of drawers get wobbly once because the bit crept out a hair. Also, drill your shelf pin holes before assembly, otherwise you're fighting the whole box to get them straight.

Honestly, that bit creep thing is everywhere. You see it with people letting small rules slide at work, and then the whole project gets wobbly. It's always the tiny drift that ruins the build.
