Pro tip: Coping with a sudden rush at the shop
My manager dropped a big custom job on us with only a few days notice. I called a quick huddle to divide up the tasks evenly. How do you handle unexpected workload spikes?

Actually think dividing tasks evenly can backfire big time. Some people work faster or know certain jobs better, so equal splits just slow everyone down. Paul_nguyen's whiteboard idea sounds nice for tracking, but in a real rush that's just extra work to keep updated. Wouldn't it be smarter to let the fastest people grab the hardest parts and have others support them?
