Fought a French cleat system for 5 hours last weekend

Wanted to mount a full wall of cabinets in my shop near Portland. Ended up ripping 2 cleats because I measured wrong on the first cut - has anyone else had these things fight back this hard?

Oh come on, it's just cutting wood, not brain surgery.

Used to think the same way honestly. But after watching a buddy lose two fingers to a table saw kickback I totally flipped my stance. That blade spins crazy fast and one wrong move or a dull blade binding up can send wood flying back at your face. Plus I've seen people mess up their backs trying to manhandle big logs without proper technique. It's not brain surgery but it's still dangerous if you don't respect what you're doing.
