Appreciation post for the old guy who taught me drawer fitting at a shop in Cincinnati

He spent 45 minutes showing me how to tap the dovetails with a mallet just right and said 'son, patience is cheaper than sandpaper' and I still think about that every time I rush a fit.

Ha! I've spent so long tapping dovetails I'm pretty sure my mallet has more patience than I do.

Ha! @river182 I swear my mallet has developed its own personality after all those years too. It's like it knows when I'm about to mess up a tail board and just sits there judging me. I've started talking to mine like it's a coworker. At this point I'm pretty sure it respects my chisels more than it respects me lmao.
