My realtor told me to skip the home inspection on a flip

She said the flipper had a great reputation and it would speed up the offer. Found knob and tube wiring in the attic after closing. Anyone else get burned by trusting a seller's reputation too much?

I mean I just read something the other day about how flippers are cutting corners more than ever because of how fast the market is moving, so that advice sounds super sketchy to me. Idk maybe it's just me but a realtor pushing you to skip an inspection on any flip is a huge red flag, even if the flipper has a good rep. Knob and tube is no joke either, that stuff is a fire hazard and expensive to replace, I'm sorry you got stuck with that. I've seen people online say they had similar issues with flips where the seller had a "great reputation" but turned out to be just really good at covering things up temporarily. It's wild how much trust can cost you in the end.
