Just read that closing costs in Phoenix average over $8,000, even on a modest house.
Found that stat in a local real estate blog and it blew my budget. Anyone else get blindsided by a specific cost like that?

Was it the title insurance that got you? That one felt like a made up fee just to make me feel dumb. I had to ask my agent to explain it three times before I gave up and just paid it. Closing costs are a master class in hidden expenses.
